Denise and her husband Kevin are the owners of Nottawa Paint Horses LLC. They live on-site to ensure the constant supervision and safety of both your horses and theirs.
Denise has been active in breeding, training, and showing American Paint Horses for the past 25 years, with many awards and accolades to her credit. Denise also serves as a judge in Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky for 4-H, open, and Pony of the Americas (POA) horse show circuits, and additionally has completed the judging schools of AQHA, APHA, MHSA, and All-Breed.
In addition to her own riding, showing, and judging, Denise has instructed youth and amateur riders in all disciplines, including western pleasure and equitation, English pleasure and equitation, showmanship and halter, trail, reining, barrel racing, jumping, and even driving!!
Denise is also the coach for three Albion College Western Equestrian Teams. The team hosted their first IHSA meet at Albion College in November 2008 and have continued hosting and competing every year since..
She and her students boast over 200 Top Ten State Championships of the Michigan Paint Horse Club.
